District Magistrate Walks to Collectorate on ‘No Vehicle Day’, Promotes Fuel Conservation and Fitness

Bareilly: In line with the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the directives of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the administration in Bareilly has designated Saturdays and Mondays as “No Vehicle Day” to encourage environmental awareness and sustainable living.

As part of the initiative, District Magistrate Avinash Singh walked from his official residence to the Collectorate office on Saturday, sending a strong message in support of fuel conservation, environmental protection and physical fitness.

The District Magistrate urged all government officials and employees to contribute towards the national cause by reducing the use of vehicles wherever possible. He emphasized that observing “No Vehicle Day” twice a week would not only help save fuel and energy but also contribute to reducing pollution and promoting a healthier lifestyle.

Officials and staff members have been encouraged to avoid the use of private and government vehicles on Mondays and Saturdays and instead make use of public transport or opt for walking whenever feasible.

The initiative is aimed at creating awareness about sustainable practices, reducing carbon emissions and inspiring citizens to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.
